Hi Eric, what a great story. I've had the benefit of receiving great coaching over the years and also doing some of my own to help peers, bosses and employees. In my experience, leaders are as afraid to coach as sales people are to sell, or marketers are to be measured.

It's one of the biggest dynamics that continues to stand out in companies as a core weakness and one that is seldom addressed with any real effort or teeth. I was forunate a little over 10 years ago to win a job where I was responsible for coaching on a daily basis and I thank my lucky stars for both what this taught me about coaching, and how much it improved my ability to be coached. One characteristic I have found across top performers is that they seek out coaching. Thanks
