Formats

• Our prepress process is 100% digital. Film is not accepted.
• We fully support the following file formats: PDF (preferred), EPS and TIFF (NOT Tiffit).
• To ensure accurate color reproduction, please confirm that the color space for all files is CMYK and not RGB. Spot colors should be converted to CMYK prior to send.

PDFs

• We accept ads submitted in a PDF format. When preparing your PDF, please do not crop the ad. Include crop marks indicating how the ad should be cropped.

Cropmarks & Bleeds

• Cropmarks should be provided in the creative when appropriate to show exactly how the ad should be placed in the ad space.
• Do not include bleeds as Selling Power is a NON-bleed publication.

Screen Ruling & Density of Tone

• Selling Power prints at 133 lines per inch.
• For 4/C, maximum 300%; 2/C maximum 170% with second color not to exceed 85% overprint.

Fonts/Type Specs

• Reverse type is acceptable, but should be no less than 10 point sans serif.
• Screened type reversed in a solid color must not exceed 20% tint of that color.
• Surprinted type is not recommended in areas exceeding 30% tonal value.

Images

• Photographic images should be processed at a resolution of no less than 226 DPI (Dot Per Inch) at 100% of desired printing size.
• Line art (bitmapped logos or scanned text) should be scanned at a resolution of 600-1200 DPI at 100% of desired printing size. However, we recommend that these elements be sent in vector-based, such as an Illustrator eps.
