ChallengeWith offices all over the world and 150 subsidiaries delivering sports footwear, apparel, and accessories, adidas Group is a global leader in the sporting goods industry. Nevertheless, the company had difficulty filling its customer-service and credit-management positions in the small rural area of Spartanburg, SC, and so they decided to outsource their recruitment activity. adidas Group wanted a recruitment solutions partner who could reduce recruitment costs, improve time-to-hire, and increase the quality of candidates, and who could accomplish all of that in under five months. The question was how to attract high caliber professionals to a rural location like Spartanburg, and how to do it in such a brief timeframe. SolutionAfter adidas Group selected RCI Recruitment Solutions to act as their recruitment partner, we began our work on the project by implementing an all-encompassing, strategic program to identify the ideal profile of the adidas candidates. We met with key managers and with the branding department to ensure that all of our efforts focused on only those candidates who could match the adidas culture. Once we established an ideal candidate, we utilized the RCI TalentLocator suite of products and services to source and screen candidates from around the country. We used our Direct Sourcing product to craft a string of keywords that would give our sourcing team access to candidates based on adidas’ explicit job descriptions. We also built a customized Applicant Tracking System to address the specific needs of adidas Group, and we designed it to match the company’s corporate career page and promote a consistent brand across all of adidas’ recruitment products. As the floodgates opened, RCI recruiters moved quickly on all submissions, contacting candidates while project management prioritized the work flow. We effectively tracked interviews, hires, submissions, and all the other aspects of the project. We channeled those candidates who successfully made it through the sourcing process into the RCI Universal Screener, an additional filter ensuring that the candidates closely mirrored adidas’ criteria up. Our recruiters then forwarded these candidates to the RCI project manager for a more accurate determination of fit. We then submitted those who were successful to an adidas hiring manager. If we received positive feedback on the candidate, our project manager arranged for an interview, and if that went well, we performed a reference check. It was only after this final step that adidas offered any candidate a position with the company. ResultThe process established by RCI Recruitment Solutions was both thorough and efficient. We completed the project two months ahead of schedule with 93% of the candidates identified and hired within the first 75 days. adidas Group benefited from a significant savings in both time and money thanks to the full cycle of service we could provide.
